Some moments remind us why Uganda proudly carries the title of the Pearl of Africa. Moments that celebrate not only the country’s extraordinary wildlife but also the people, places, and partnerships shaping the future of tourism.
From 17th to 19th July 2026, Entikko Safari Lodge had the distinct honor of welcoming the Hon. Susan Nakawuki Nsambu, Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, together with Dorcas Rukundo Twesigomwe, Commissioner for Tourism Business Development, during their official visit to Murchison Falls National Park.
The delegation, comprising the Minister’s family, officials from the Ministry of Tourism, the Uganda Wildlife Authority led by the Chief Warden, media teams from UBC and New Vision, and other distinguished guests, spent two nights at Entikko Safari Lodge designed to showcase the very best of the Ugandan hospitality.
Their visit wasn’t a routine clip-board inspection or a courtesy call instead it was a firsthand plunge into Uganda’s Wild spirit, where Entikko Safari Lodge was the ultimate launchpad for discovery of Uganda’s tourism potential and a reaffirmation of the country’s commitment to sustainable tourism, conservation, and authentic visitor experiences.
A Welcome the Entikko Way

Every memorable safari begins with a warm welcome.
As the delegation arrived at Entikko Safari Lodge, they were greeted with the joyful rhythms of our traditional Jambo jambo welcome song, refreshing drinks, genuine smiles, and the heartfelt hospitality that defines the Entikko experience.
After settling into the lodge, the guests toured the property, interacted with members of our team, and participated in media interviews highlighting Uganda’s growing tourism industry.
Lunch became more than just a meal; it was an opportunity for conversation, connection, and a shared appreciation for the remarkable destination that is Murchison Falls National Park.
Soon afterwards, the delegation departed to experience one of Uganda’s greatest natural wonders: The Top of Murchison Falls.
Witnessing the Power of Nature
Few places leave visitors speechless quite like Murchison Falls.
Here, the mighty River Nile squeezes through a narrow seven-meter gorge before plunging more than forty meters into the gorge below, creating one of Africa’s most spectacular waterfalls.
Standing beside the thundering falls is both humbling and unforgettable, a reminder of the raw beauty that continues to attract travelers from around the world.
Following an inspiring afternoon at the falls, the delegation returned to Entikko Safari Lodge to enjoy an evening of relaxation, exceptional dining, and the peaceful atmosphere that makes every stay with us feel like home.
Into the Wild
With the first light of a new day came another unforgettable adventure.
The delegation embarked on a morning game drive through the sweeping savannahs of Murchison Falls National Park, where Uganda’s incredible biodiversity revealed itself at every turn.
Towering giraffes wandered gracefully across the plains.
Elephants moved quietly through the grasslands.
Buffaloes grazed in large herds.
Antelope dotted the landscape, while countless bird species brought color and life to every corner of the park.
Every sighting served as a reminder that Murchison Falls is one of Africa’s truly exceptional wildlife and adventure destination.
A Journey Along the Nile

No visit to Murchison Falls National Park is complete without experiencing the Nile from the water.
Later that day, the delegation boarded a boat cruise along one of Africa’s most iconic rivers.
The cruise offered close encounters with hippos basking in the shallows, crocodiles resting along the banks, elephants cooling off at the water’s edge, and an extraordinary variety of birdlife that makes the park a paradise for nature lovers.
The journey concluded at the breathtaking base of Murchison Falls, where the thunder of cascading water and the rising mist create an unforgettable spectacle that perfectly captures the spirit of Uganda’s wild beauty.
Evenings at Entikko
After days filled with exploration and adventure, the comfort of Entikko Safari Lodge became the perfect place to unwind.
Guests gathered over carefully prepared dinners, shared stories from the day’s experiences, and relaxed in the tranquil surroundings of the lodge.
As night settled over the park, the sounds of nature replaced the bustle of the day, creating an atmosphere of peace that only the African wilderness can offer.
These quiet moments are often the ones guests remember most.
A Sunrise Worth Waking Up For

Before checking out on the morning of 19th July, the delegation experienced one of Entikko Safari Lodge’s signature offerings: our Sunrise Breakfast Experience.
As the first rays of sunlight stretched across the landscape, breakfast was served against the backdrop of the awakening wilderness.
It was a peaceful, intimate moment that perfectly reflected what Entikko is all about: slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and creating memories that last long after the journey ends.
For many visitors, it is these simple yet extraordinary experiences that become the highlight of their safari.
A Strong Message for Uganda Tourism

One of the most inspiring moments of the visit came through the message shared by Hon. Susan Nakawuki Nsambu.
She encouraged both Ugandans and international visitors to continue exploring Uganda with confidence, reaffirming that the country remains a safe, welcoming, and rewarding destination for travelers.
Her remarks also highlighted the importance of domestic tourism. They celebrated the upcoming Open Parks Initiative from 25th to 27th of September 2026, an exciting campaign that will encourage even more people to discover Uganda’s protected areas and the remarkable experiences they offer.
It is a vision that aligns closely with our own commitment at Entikko Safari Lodge to create meaningful connections between people, nature, and the extraordinary landscapes that make Uganda unlike anywhere else in the world.
More Than a Stay
Hosting the Hon. Minister, the Commissioner for Tourism Business Development, and the entire delegation was a privilege for every member of the Entikko family.
Visits such as these reinforce the importance of collaboration among government, conservation partners, tourism operators, and local communities to ensure that Uganda’s tourism industry continues to thrive.
At Entikko Safari Lodge, we believe luxury is not defined only by beautiful accommodation or exceptional service.
It is found in sunrise breakfasts overlooking the wilderness.
In the songs that welcome guests home.
In unforgettable encounters with wildlife.
In evenings filled with stories beneath African skies.
And in the memories our guests carry with them long after they leave.
As Uganda continues to welcome the world to experience the Pearl of Africa, we remain proud to play our part, offering every guest an authentic safari experience where comfort meets adventure, conservation meets hospitality, and every journey becomes a story worth telling.
We look forward to welcoming you to Entikko Safari Lodge, Where the Wild Wears the Crown.
